I'm new to this sort of photography and would appreciate criticism from those with more experience. It's certainly enjoyable.

Of the two, I prefer the first photo. The focus is good and the plain background works well although I'd love to see this flower with a background that reflects its growing environment.
I think I'd like the 2nd photo more if it focused on only one of the flowers.

Thanks for the feedback, Denise. I'd also have preferred a natural background but not the ugly and distracting one that was there, so I stuck a piece of foamboard behind these.

I've found myself sharpening macros far more than standard images. I don't know if that's common.
