Can anyone tell me how many of my images (from SmugMug) are showing up on Pinterest, without my permission?

Thanks,
Ken

Thanks Allen. But this does not explain how the images are getting to Pinterest. Can anyone help?

Ken K it's easy enough for anyone to grab a photo off the internet and upload it to Pinterest (or any other social media/photo sharing site), happens all the time and there's no way to prevent it. Even if you have the right-click prevention enabled on your site, it is very easy to get around. As soon as one person uploads it to Pinterest, more people start sharing it from within Pinterest.

I have the Pinterest share button enabled on my site and last time I checked so far all of my photos that I've found on Pinterest do lead directly back to my site, so I think having the button enabled has been a good move for me. As long as it's not a brand/company sharing the image, I'm okay with people sharing on their personal Pinterest boards because it clearly shows my website url and clicking on the image takes a person directly to my site. If you don't have the share button enabled, people are going to download the image and when they upload somewhere else you lose all control.
