Lose position in gallery after delete

Something I've found very annoying with Smugmug is if you delete a photo out of a gallery, it forgets where you are and takes you back to the start of the gallery.
If it's a large gallery, this can mean a lot of effort finding your place again.
Is there a way to avoid this ?
