Display Folders and Galleries Together

I would like to have a Portfolio Page that displays both Folders and Galleries. In some cases I want to have a gallery that contains images and others I want a folder that contains several galleries. Is there a way to get this to work on a single page? My current website does not use this feature. I am working on an update and have not yet published my new site.

Drag a Folders, Galleries, and Pages content element onto your portfolio page, then select the folders and galleries you want to show there.
