Out and about after far too long. I was glad to find that Madrid hasn't gotten any less strange.

1.

2.

3.

Ah, that third image (at Plaza de la Cebada) is a wonderful capture.

I really like #3, would have liked to see a bit more of the man's hat on the top picture though.

Yeah, you're probably right. Here's a different take on the same scene:
    4.

I preferred #3 because it felt more immediate--dunno.

Like both 3 and 4, but like 3 more since the worker is also looking at the camera/us. It is much more intimate, engaging and capricious.

My fave is #2. I'm dying to try "tapas de sichuan" B)

I'm glad you could get out and around, Richard. We seem to get some good stuff from you when you do. I like #3 the best but I'm torn about which version. If it were in an exhibit, and blown up fairly large, I opt for #4 for sure.

I'm curious about #1. What's the purpose of the ropes the guy closet to the truck has attached to his blanket? Does it aid him if he finds it necessary to affect a quick exit?

    Take care

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

I think 3 still works with a different crop showing most of the hat.

Yeah, one wonders. I like dim sum, but I think that's usually Cantonese. Tiny spicy dishes? Dunno, but somehow I don't quite trust it.

Precisely. They can sling their stuff over their shoulders in one quick motion and be on their way. It's a silly game of cat and mouse they play with the local police, who know perfectly well that they're just going to set up shop on the next block. But the sellers risk having their merchandise confiscated if the police actually catch them, so they do have to pay attention and move quickly.

Well, #3 had no more pixels at the top. But just for you, I tried an 8x10 crop of #4:
    5.

This might be the best of the lot, so thanks for insisting.
