I have the Lowepro Rover Plus AW, which has the division between lower part for gear, and upper part for other stuff. I really like that, since I only use that bag when I go hiking. And that means I like to bring food, water, a jacket, stuff like that next to my camera gear. I've been wearing it fully loaded in bad weather, but after a long hike I still didn't feel it. And I liked the fact that it had its AW rain coat.

For a walkaround bag I have the Crumpler December Quarter Erik also has. I really like the way that one disguises itself as a messenger bag. In my opinion the Lowepro shoulder bags, even the Stealth Reporter ones, are just too easily identified as photo bags.

I also have a Crumpler Very Busy Man laptop shoulder bag. When I just take my camera and walkaround lens, I put it inside a small toploading case (generic brand), and inside that shoulder bag. Tons of space for other things, and since also that bag is slightly padded, it feels safe enough to carry a camera.
enjoy being here while getting there

I used firefox for the crumplerbag experience. I don't think I missed anything, but it didn't help me pick a bag. In the end, an Amazon surch for Crumpler presented the information very clearly.
    If not now, when?
