Yes, I hate horse flies, deer flies and those little black biting flies, [(Simuliidae, aka "Buffalo Gnats")] which are really bad this year, although now subsided.

whats your wb setting? they look a bit warm /brown on my monitor

It was set for flash I think Phil - but having said that, the Venus has always had a redder touch to the lens.

I custom set a white ballance for when using flash, about 4700k
