Folder on Home Page does not show the Galleries inside it

I created a Folder called "Recent Photos" and put three Galleries inside it, each Gallery contained a number of photos. I placed the "Recent Photos" Folder on my Home Page. The Folder icon appears on the Homepage, but when you click on the "Recent Photos" icon, the Galleries are not visible. What do I need to do to get them to appear? Also, the words "Recent Photos" and the Smugmug icon for for Folders appear over the thumbnail of the icon and I would like to make both of those go away. How? Thanks!
