I'm not sure how to put the photos in that someone else took

Sherry you were so brave to go first with this mini, and I am glad that you took the one photo out of the collage and entered it. Your

Iraq-Afghanistan memorial at our local veteran's cemetery was exactly what I had in mind.

StueveShots I do love the gate detail and would really like one of the UK people to chime in about the symbolism of the hedgehog on the gate. I googled it but wasn't able to find anything definitive. I like your #3 photo best as it was the most evocative

Peter it was very interesting to see the photos from Finland. I have one from St. Louis that is very similar to your first photo
https://photos.smugmug.com/Travel/Pori-Finland/i-gBTjmqK/0/930289f2/XL/5D4_1955-XL.jpg

Jo West, I really loved the carving of the tree trunk in the Catholic cemetery - I have never seen anything like that in a cemetery

BMW Kurt - happy to have you back doing the minis. I like the German warrior (at least I guess that is what he was)

Sara it was hard to chose one that I liked best and the two that were not for judging were also great - why were they not for judging?
Photographically speaking I liked the plague victims photo the best
https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/uploads/editor/7v/1fxv63jmysw4.jpg
But I like the juxtaposition of the ski jump and the cemetery one and I would have picked that one except that the colors were a little too saturated for my taste for that subject.

Pieter, I thought the idea of the crosses for the people who died last year was an interesting idea. It was again hard to choose - I really like the gravestones that have photos of the people on them - it makes it more personal somehow. So that's the one I'm going to pick of yours

Joyce the Mt Olives cemetery is my favorite of yours
https://photos.smugmug.com/Mediterranean/Israel/i-2bj8cfP/1/96c68285/XL/JMMed9389-XL.jpg

David I thought the wooden mortuary poles were the most interesting and I wonder how well they last (or is that the idea - that they should return to nature?)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/uploads/editor/ip/ihnsttu1hcvr.jpg

mongoose330, you only entered one photo, so of course that one is my favorite of yours- it is very unusual

sapphire I am sorry to hear about the Lyme disease. I was bitten by a deer tick about 2 weeks ago and I'm hoping not to get Lyme. All of your photos would be great for cemetery documentation.

Wandering Dane, I really liked your Danish queen's sarcophagus. https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/uploads/editor/3i/ggd34kg4a7j7.jpg. I think I might have cropped a little more of the people out of the photo

Lilian, I had to laugh about your hiding from the voodoo queen. I liked the photo of the top of the marker but I wanted to see a bit more of what it was resting on - there's a squiggle of iron at the bottom right which I would like to know what it was. So I'm picking the Fisse family vault
https://photos.smugmug.com/Travel/Louisiana/i-kmLKmwN/3/20fff1da/XL/IMG_7657-XL.jpg

moose I liked the soldiers at the Unknown Soldiers tomb in Arlington. I think I have been to the cemetery on Hatteras

barbara I had a hard time chosing between the leaning headstones (which I think is a better subject) and the overall cemetery photo which I think is a better photo.

Thank you, @grandmaR , for all the comments and selections, very enjoyable challenge.

The crop was intentional, if perhaps ill-advised, showing people with their backs to the sarcophagus of the forward-thinking and influential queen, who united Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

No that's a perfectly valid reason for leaving the feet in. But without that explanation, I was clueless.
    Two possibilities -
One, explain the reason for leaving the feet in
Two - crop the photo just for the purposes of the mini.

Thanks @grandmaR for running a great challenge and especially for taking the time to comment on everyones entries. ...and yes that photo with the ski jump and cemetary was over-saturated; I guess I just got carried away with the slider. Ugh.
    Congratulations to all the winners.

Thanks for a very interesting challenge @grandmaR, and thanks for commenting on everyone's photos. It's always good to see feedback on our photos, and I like to see if others think the same things about all of the entries that I do. It adds to the fun of participating in these minis. I also want to thank you for your work with Find-a-Grave. While it is doubtful that you have taken any of the images I found during my genealogical research (Cincinnati, OH) others who share your passion have provided photos of the graves of some of my ancestors. So consider this a collective "thank you" to all who do such work to support the searches of others.

Congratulations to Jo for a truly unusual cemetery photo, to all who placed, and to the HMs.

Barbara I am glad that you have gotten good use out of FindAGrave. I have been a lot of places, but I haven't visited Cincinnati (except I think I was in the airport to change planes once). I have added almost 30,000 photos to the site.

Really I did not realize that I was actually giving feedback ;) - I was mostly just trying to organize my thoughts. I'm glad that it was helpful to people.
