The second image is the winner here. I don't know what is going on in the first one.

The second image prevails here for me. I'm like Phil....I'd like to see a more pano approach to this offering, wherein a goodly amount of the sky is eliminated. Doing so does not affect the other attributes the image possesses.
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

OR... a more pleasant treatment...(same vineyard in the fall)
The second image by a landslide.
Great use of empty space. Wonderful composition, with both leading and bounding lines. Simple and isolated subject, but in an ideal setting.
Print it; print it big!

Thanks Ziggy... much appreciated
These are part of a hotel job (phase 2) I have in the coming year
I'll do 8-10 and see what looks good ( I'll probably bounce them off you guys & gals)
They'll be printed on metal (all vineyard themes) 48X60
People seem to like the large images in the first phase
What I'm really excited about are tapestries from photographs
They will be 72"+/- X 60" on a 19' high wall
The first one leaves me wondering whats in the foreground, just can't get my head wrapped around it.
I concur with Ziggy on the 2nd image, but would also consider looking at it in a more panoramic composition by losing half the sky.

Thanks for the comments roaddog
The second is lovely. The first doesn't really come together, IMO. Seems like two different ideas.

Thanks all for looking in...
The first is an experiment (among others) melding different mediums... very ordinary in the art world
Some of these experiments work... others don't.. I appreciate your honest comments
I'll just keep workin'...
Keep experimenting. Getting timid doesn't get us very far.

Don't understand no 1 and I like no 2, Rags.
Hehe... Someone said something like this...
The comfort zone is a very nice place... but nothing grows there.....
Thanks guys for your comments...
