Use SM Mobile App's Photo Navigation Technique in Web Galleries

Most of my friends that look at my photo galleries now do so through their phone. Unfortunately, it is not intuitive how to manually flip through full screen photo images when doing so from my SM web site. It is, however, very intuitive how it is implemented in the SM Mobile App (which they obviously don't have). Here's how they differ:

SM Mobile Gallery
1. From the gallery display, tap a photo.
2. The photo displays full screen
3. To move through the gallery photos simply flip left or right.
4. To view a slideshow, touch the display and the slideshow icon displays. Tap the icon to begin slideshow.

SM Web Gallery
1. From the gallery display, tap a photo.
2. The photo displays below the browser bar.
3. To move through the gallery simply flip left or right (but not full screen display)
4. To view full screen, tap the photo, and then tap slideshow icon.
5. The image will display full screen and the slide show will begin. You can let it advance automatically, or you can manually flip through the photos.

Can you give us the option to use the SM Mobile App navigation style with our SM Web site? I think it would work like this:
1. From the gallery display, tap a photo.
2. The photo displays below the browser bar.
3. Tap the photo and it displays full size (i.e., no browser bar).
4. To move through the gallery photos simply flip left or right.
5. To view a slideshow, touch the display and the slideshow icon displays. Tap the icon to begin slideshow.

Hi @Teetime, I'm trying to make sure I understand your request. Is it basically that you'd like a way for mobile web galleries to open full-screen without the browser bars when lightbox opens?
(FWIW, Mobile Web slideshow doesn't dismiss the browser bars)

We'd love to get those pesky bars out of the way too, since it distracts from enjoying the photo, but unfortunately the operating systems/Safari don't give us much of an option to hide them.

We do have an update coming to the Mobile Web Lightbox (when the image opens by itself) that makes swiping much nicer between photos.

Hi Aaron. I think I may be mixing terminology. I was referring to the address bar at the top which does disappear in the slideshow. I think you are referring to the sidebars which indeed are pesky and don't disappear. I look forward to seeing the updated Mobile Web Lightbox. Thanks for your response.

Which phone / browser are you using? On an iPhone X using Safari, the address bar and the navigation bar (back, forward, share, etc) didn’t disappear when I played the slideshow on my phone.

Interesting, it looks like Chrome and Safari on iOS/Android behave quite differently. On iOS, it's impossible to go full screen in the browser. On Android Chrome, clicking slideshow does go fullscreen. Damn them Apples!
