Keyword based galleries question

I have a 'page' on which I wish to (basically) add a gallery. When I go into the customization area, the content block I've added is 'Multiple Photos'. I configure that as desired and plug-in the keywords that will select the desired images.

That works fine to the extent of creating the 'gallery'. The one thing I would like to do that I can't figure out, and not sure is possible, is to sort the images in an order of my choosing. I need these to sort chronologically, but they appear to have been pulled into the gallery in random order.

Is there a means of controlling the sort order of images pulled into the gallery when built with this approach?

    I use keywords to create galleries for each individual person in my family section. I create a normal gallery and use "smart gallery" settings to select the keyword.
    Customize > Gallery Settings > Smart Rules > Setup
    By using a normal gallery there are many options for sorting which with KWs is not available.
