SmugMug doesn't allow Javascript.

You are going to find that Smugmug is extremely limited in terms of development options. You can't even go into the CSS or HTML to add canonical tags and other things necessary to SEO.
Like what?

Hmm, let's see here:
-Creating our own alt text to images (since we can't just add the tag when uploading and Smugmug likes to do it for us and does a poor job of it)
-Accelerated mobile pages
-Removal of independent frames
-Microformatting
-Language specification (e.g. /en)
The inability to use canonical tags is absolutely the most infuriating issue to me.
Seriously, SM needs to come up with an advanced user option. I'd pay EXTRA to be able to customize the code on my website or Bootstrap.
And not having the option to adjust Javascript and Java - like, what exactly is the meaning behind all of this?
Is this why the facebook page plugin non longer works?
What is the "Facebook Page Plugin"?

Yes. That plugin uses Javascript to work.
