Nice shots Greaps, I'm jealous of the amount of wildlife in your area. I'm waiting on my 100-400 IS lens with a converter, hopefully I can get some good wildlife shots as well. I may have to go to the zoo :). Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

The 100-400L is quite handy for wildlife - here are a couple I captured with a 10D and the 100-400L.

Great shots pathfinder, I wish I had IS lenses.

I have a Sigma 170 to 500mm zoom, Its a bit slow, but I am have with it. I would have to spend a lot more to get better glass. I do all right with it. All 4 of those shots were hand held at 500mm

I'll bet there is more wildlife around you than you know. Where do you live?

Wildlife preserves, Metro parks, State parks, or even in an urban area, there are wild animals. Around me in downtown Toledo there are Falcons that prey on the smaller birds in the iner city. I would love a shot of one sitting on a gargoyle or something like that.
