Client Gallery Downloads - "Invalid Email" message

For years I have set up my galleries in Lightroom, exported using a quick setting that allows my clients to download buttons and to be able to download the entire gallery.

Since September 2018, last month, my clients are now being asked for an email and are told 100% of the time that they have an "Invalid email" as in the photo below.

What's changed? How can I turn this off? Please help.
