On iPad main menu name also showing up at top of sub menu list

Hi!
I am a newbie with Smugmug and I am building my "public" site at pbyb.smugmug.com.
I have a top menu row and one of the menu items (Portfolio) have a sub menu drop down.
On my iPad when clicking on the main menu name, the name Portfolio is also showing up at the top of the sub menu list.
I only see this behavior on iPad, not on my iPhone 5 and not on PC.
I have "Collapse For Mobile" selected in the menu.
On my iPhone, when selecting Menu, the first menu list becomes
HOME
ABOUT
CONTACT
PORTFOLIO +
and when clicking on the plus-sign only the two sub menus appear.
Anyone knows if there is a customization solution to avoid the duplicate menu name on iPad?

Hi Bosse and welcome to DGrin !
Your Portfolio menu entry is a drop down menu that has two functions. It can be clicked on to open your Gallerypages folder or you can hold your mouse over it to display the drop down and allow direct access to the contents of the folder without opening the Gallerypages folder.
On larger touch devices, there is no hover to open / close a drop down and to open a drop down, it has to be tapped on. To allow visitors to also access the Gallerypages folder, the Portfolio item is displayed as part of the drop down menu as well.
On small touch devices if you choose the collapse for mobile option, a separate + button is added to allow to open the drop down. This is specific to small screen devices, like phones and not something used on tablets.
I hope this explains this. While I'm not aware of a way to customize this behavior, maybe one of the customization helpers on the forum know of a way.

Maybe like me not seeing your site at first, I don't see a duplicate menu name. Can you provide a screen print?

Thanks for the screen prints. Unfortunately I don't own a iPad and the Screenfly site doesn't show the duplicate menu. I can't help, sorry.

This is a problem I've encountered many times on my own site, when viewed on big screens (not phones). It seems to come and go randomly, and affects some devices some of the time and not others. I've tried repeatedly to figure out why is happening, but always came to the conclusion my visitors probably don't see it. Sorry I'm no help, but wanted to share that you're not alone.
Tested your site and the problem isn't showing up for me.

This should only occur on touch devices for the reasons explained in the second comment on the thread. Do you perhaps have a screen that's touch enabled? If not and you end up being able to replicate the issue, could you post the detailed steps you took along with details on your browser / browser extensions / system?
