My Picture from the Air

Unlike Erich, I seldom go anywhere, but last March I did go back to Columbus, Ohio to visit my oldest son and his family. I have been flying in and out of Santa Barbara for most of my life, and I have never seen anything quite like this. We came through the fog just as the sun was coming up. By the time we turned east, the light was gone. I managed to get this shot of Anacapa Island. The Santa Barbara Channel is under the clouds.

That's a pretty cool shot! I've been wanting to visit the islands for quite some time. We're hoping we can do that this Spring.

I really like how the island looks like it's in a sea of clouds. Good job! clap.gifclap.gif

I have to wonder how you had your camera ready to take the picture when the opportunity came. I know we all have missed wonderful pictures because the camera was buried under a bunch of stuff.

I was using the PowerShot S60 which happened to be in my purse which was on my lap. If I'd had to drag it out of a camera bag, I'd never have gotten the shot. Love that little camera.iloveyou.gif
