Some shots I took at a friends hockey game last night, most of them were shot at ISO 1000 so they are a little grainy, 1/125 shutter speed and f/5.6 (i wish i had a better lenses im using a 28-80, ahhh). I came up with some really nice shots, but they are moving so fast and my lens isn't giving me the light that I need, hopefully a new lens is coming soon, any lens suggestions for hockey ?

Rinks are tough places to shoot. Dark, cycling lights and so on.

You've got some nice action and my only comments would be to add some
positive EC to help brighten things up a bit.

Should add that something in the f/2.8 range, like the 70-200 would be
    good for hockey.

Yea, I am looking to buy the 70-200 as soon as I can, it would really help me in this situation. Shooting with the 28-80mm at f/5.6 isn't fun, its frustrating, but hopefully i get the f/2.8 soon. :D
