Adding background color to text blocks

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me how to add a background color to a text block? In the new website I'm designing I have a background image and the transparency of the text block makes it difficult to read the words/text.

I would use a HTML/CSS block instead of a text block. Add the text in the HTML section and style it in the CSS section. As an example:

HTML

<div class="text-block">

    <p>Text here. Text here. Text here. Text here.</p>
    <p>More text here. More text here. More text here. More text here. More text here.</p>

</div>

CSS

.text-block {
    padding: 20px;
    background: green;
    color: black;
}

That adds a green text block, with black text and a 20px padding around the text.
