Guest book and comment sign-in required

I have several (many?) clients upset that they cannot leave me comments without signing in. They do not have (nor want) a SmugMug account and they feel that Google Plus and Facebook are too invasive to their privacy. I have been told by SmugMug that they do this "...to avoid spam and people leaving inappropriate comments..." Personally, I have never had spam or inappropriate comments on my SmugMug site. Considering this, I think SmugMug should allow all users to either opt in or out on making our clients sign in. Thoughts?
