I'm trying to figure out how to build a layout with content - slideshows mostly - that fills the browser left-right. The site started off with a side menu bar which I've removed by moving it to the top. I've then added some css; .sm-page-layout region-left { display: none; }
, to hide the left region and I'd kind of hoped that the content region would fill the gap. But it doesn't. Something obvious is staring me in the face I know but I'm not seeing it. Any thoughts welcome.

I got impatient and just picked a new theme, which seems to be working. I'd still be interested to see if the above is possible, though.

Hard to tell as you've changed themes and I don't use a a left menu.
