This was my favorite walk-around lens. I once wrecked the front element on a crazy outdoor adventure trip, so had to send it back to CPS for replacement. They installed a new front element, cleaned it out, and calibrated. To date, it's the sharpest Canon lens in my kit, included when compared to L glass! Love love love this lens, but moved over to Sony, so no need any longer.
Comes with a ProMaster UV filter installed.
