How can I change the menu text size past the X-large setting? In other words, I want to make the font even larger.

also, I'd like to change the spacing between items in the navbar

Looks like you're using the small font on your menu. Anyway, add this to your theme's CSS section:

/* Increase Menu Text Size and Spacing */       
.sm-user-ui .sm-page-layout-region-header .sm-page-widget-nav a{
    font-size: 50px;
    margin: auto 50px;
}

That will increase the menu font and spacing regardless of the menu font size you select in your settings.

The font-size is self-explanatory, the margin is top/bottom = auto; right/left = 50px (auto 50px auto 50px).
