Astro Pano - 1st Try

Decided to play around with an astro pano a couple nights ago, along my drive home. Stopped at the overlook, parked the camera on the tripod and spent about 15min, then bounced to head home. Learned some things, looking forward to more attempts at creative night sky pano work. Enjoy, and Mahalo for viewing!

JBR, the sky looks fine. Where is MW core? Or is it not visible yet in Maui? I think the fg choice is not best. All of Maui is fg so go out there young man and find something better! Cheers!

Looks pretty good to me. While Hawaii is very much south, it is still in the northern hemisphere. MW straight up, with more of the core being visible, is best in late July through most of August. In Hawaii, I'd bet it appears earlier than that.

You did well with White balance, getting the colors right. I like the bit of trail on the right, though the far left (rocks?) seems to interrupt, since I don't know what I'm looking at there.
