In the first, my eye is drawn immediately to the flower with the apples adding a hint of confusion. They almost make my eyes believe all of the objects are floating.
I like the combination of light and shadows in the second.
I agree with Denise about the first one--I think they are floating. The depth just doesn't work for me, but I like the lighting and the subject matter. The second one is nice. I can't decide if I want the entire plant to show on the left side or not. Regardless, I like shadow play and this is a nice image.
