I get these sawflies in my garden every year. There is usually just a lone wasp to be found at any one time. It is usually resting on a leaf and I fail to get a worthwhile image before it flies away.
This time, a very tolerant individual had a long feeding session and seemed not bothered by my presence. I believe this species feeds on bramble.
Olympus EM-1 (manual mode), Olympus 4/3 x2 TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, from 1/125 to 1/800 at f11 ISO 800, cloudy.
