How to get filenames to show on mobile phones?
I have instructions on my website for people to give me the filename(s) of the photo(s) they are interested in purchasing. See here:
https://www.acecootephotography.com/Photo-Products/Ordering-Photo-Files-and-Disks
I have show filename when no title set for all my galleries, and have it formatted to show as yellow text below the line.
I have now had a number of people contact me to say they can't see the filenames on their mobile phones.
I am a VERY reluctant user of mobile phones, but did check on my phone and I can't see anyway to get either the filename or the to be visible.
I just have the photo with forward/back controls on the left and right of the image.
Is there some method/setting to have filenames show on mobile phones?
If not, how do people identify which image they are interested in?
Thanks for any help.

What I do is put my filenames into my captions using a Lightroom plugin called LR Transporter. If you happen to be a Lightroom user, it's an easy solution. Something similar could be done in a lot of other programs, I'm sure.

Thank you for that suggestion - much appreciated.
I don't have Lightroom.
Can you tell me where the captions (and so the filename) show on a mobile phone version of Smugmug?
(Trying to see if this would offer a solution for me)

SOLVED!! Thanks to pilotdave for pointing me in the right direction!
Found this tutorial:

Turned on "captions" - since I don't use Titles, it inserts the filename instead.
Exactly what I wanted!

Glad you were able to find what you were looking for.
We've already started but within the next month or so you'll see some improvements in this area. The "Show Filenames" setting currently will replace your caption with the filename if no caption has been set. But if a caption has been set, then the filename isn't shown at all.
We've had a long-standing feature request to show both. With the new Lightbox we saw this as an opportunity to improve.
If "Show Filenames" is set to ON, the new Lightbox will display the filename in addition to the Title and Caption. It will no longer replace the caption, so you can have Title, Caption and Filename displayed in any configuration you'd like (for example all 3 showing).
If the photo has no Title and Show Filenames is ON, we'll use the filename on top of the photo:
If the photo has a Title, we show the title, but clicking on the details will show the Filename:

Does that text covering the photo auto hide? I'd prefer nothing covering the photo.

Yes, on desktops it auto hides. On mobile, tap once to enter lights out mode. Tap again to enable the descriptions

Thanks for the update Aaron - things looking good and great to see you responding to users needs.
As I was looking for a solution, I came across threads around the time "New Smug" was rolled out.
Boy - you have come a long way even from the seismic shift that was New Smug over Old Smug!
I never use titles or captions - just filenames - so this will still work perfectly for me.
