sharing pictures on a forum

Good morning!
I can get the URL attached to my intended forum receiver but I can never get the picture to display and neither can the forum receiver. Any ideas? I'm using a MacBook.

    Check your gallery settings to make sure that Visibility is not set to private and Access is set to Anyone.

    Are you using the links provided by the sharing options on SmugMug?

    Everything appears like it should work. The URL address will paste between the IMG on both sides of the url but never a picture.

    Which forum are you trying to post to? Perhaps someone here has experience and can help.
