This is the same male of which I recently posted images showing mating.
Males of this species like to rest on the ground. The pond water had retreated from the normal edge during a drought. This untidy background is partly of dried out detritus from under the water. This was where the dragon alighted on several occasions, and nowhere else, so I had no choice.
The stereo is crosseye.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Panasonic 100 - 400mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar at 400mm 1/400 at f9, ISO 250, hand held.
