Seven layers deep (only)?

"Your SmugMug website is composed of pages, which you can organize up to seven layers deep:
SITE > Folder > Folder > Folder > Folder > Folder > Gallery (or Page)."
Can anyone explain to me why SM forces this rule? I'm curious why SM caps this at seven layers, which is really six if you discount the main page and only five if you take into account the last page is a gallery.
CS could not explain it beyond: "That is just how it is set up."
