Ran up to Sequoia NP on Sunday, I'm a sucker for misty mountains.

This is the closest thing to wildlife that I saw all day.

Love the foggy/misty mountains. I get alot of low fog in some of the valleys near my house. I havent gotten the chance to shoot it yet though...

    Great shot.

Any special tips for fog shooting? mwink.gif

How many pictures did you take?
I probably would have shot a card's worth of that scene. That's really gorgeous! You have access to some gorgeous country there!

    A home run super shot!

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Beautiful shot, Ed! That panoramic view of the Sierra foothills always seems to evade me (I've tried to get a good shot of them thar hills from the General's Hwy lookout point and have failed many, many times...sigh). Well, at least you got a goodun (darn!). Let's see some more from your trip, eh?
    ~Nee ;)
ps. How are things looking at Yosemite? I'm ready to head there for a winter shoot sometime soon...pm me when you think you might be heading that way, won't you?

    Cheers! :)

Thanks Nee, I really didn't shoot much that day, I was just out for a ride ( with 2 camera, 4 lenses ) hehe

but a few of the others from that day are here

Things are looking pretty strange in Yosemite, there are just some specs of snow on the valley floor this year. Nothing at all like last year, but winter is not over yet and there's still hope..

My plans at the moment are spending Feb 24th and 25th in the park trying to get another shot of Horsetail falls. This one is from last year. An awful lot of things have to go right for this to happen but I'm hopefull.
    50584500-M.jpg

But I'm sure I'll be head up there at least a couple of times before then, maybe even this weekend. It looks like there is a chance of snow on Saturday.

You can keep an eye on the valley from here ( when the cameras are working ) http://www.yosemite.org/vryos/

    Spectacular photo Ed!

What Ed didn't mention is that you can see something like 7 mountain
ranges when looking toward the Pacific Coast.
