Harvestman Leiobunum rotundum Male
Harvestmen tend to run and hide at the least movement close to them. This one had that ugly, drled-up dead leaf bewteen its legs (first image). I wanted to remove the leaf but got some shots first. Then much to my surprise, I managed to pull it away, using fine, entomological forceps. I tried to also remove the long, pale grass seeds, but to little effect.
I then took shots at my choice of angles and departed, the male still motionless.
The stereos are crosseye.
I had to turn down the highlights considerably because the flower was pure white.
Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, f11, hand-held.
I previously posted images of the female, which has dark dorsal markings, absent in the male.
