Speckled Wood Butterfly on Brown Leaf

You might say that the butterfly would have chosen a leaf of a colour with which it would merge and be difficult to spot. However, the reason I was there with my camera is that the same butterfly, a few minutes earlier, was spreadeagled across the junction of three green leaves, where it could not go un-noticed.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Panasonic 100 - 400mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar at 400mm 1/1000 at f6.3 ISO 250, hand held.
The stereos are crosseye.
