I don't want to delete the numerous galleries I have made but want to make them unlisted or invisible ... if I log out I still see them.
You can use the Organizer to change settings on multiple galleries at once. Here's a link to the help page: https://help.smugmug.com/change-settings-for-multiple-galleries-at-once-rJY8eewkVBf.
If you want the galleries to be available only to you, change the visibility to Private.
If you want the galleries to be hidden from the general public but available to people you give the link to, change the visibility to Unlisted.
Help page for gallery privacy is at https://help.smugmug.com/gallery-page-and-folder-privacy-settings-HkFDexvJESG.

I did that ... but when I log out I can still see the galleries ... is there no visitor view anymore?
I don't think there is anything called "visitor view" in SmugMug, that was in the old smug.
If the galleries are set as unlisted or private you need a direct link to see them.
I just looked at your site and I see no galleries when I select Galleries or Birds from your menu. Browse (https://untamednewyork.smugmug.com/browse) also shows no galleries.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache or checking in a browser where you weren't previously logged in? It seems odd to me that you can still see them after logging out of smugmug - when I log out of my site I can't see anything other than public galleries.

Thanks - still working on it. I cant get the look I want ... private seemed to work better than unlisted.
Keep in mind that if you set a gallery to private then you are the only person who can see it.
