Is there a way to suppress custom CSS without manually deleting it everywhere?

I have a reasonable amount of site-wide custom CSS, some of it quite old, and SM has seen some changes.
Short of manually deleting all the custom CSS wherever I've put it, is there a way to suppress it or to create a "virgin" gallery that would allow me to see what things would look like with the SM defaults?

Thanks for your reply; I appreciate the time you take to lurk and respond to so many questions here.
Have you considered changing your CSS to comments so you can see whether you still need it? That way you are not losing it and you can either re-enable or delete as needed.
Scroll down on this page to see how to enter comments in CSS, https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_syntax.asp

Thanks for the tip.
The challenge is that my CSS already has comments, and one can't just wrap the whole CSS in /..../ since that would result in nested /.../, which, alas doesn't seem to work.
First you copy your current CSS to a text file and save it. Then remove the current CSS and save it. Now you have a clean slate. Then add back small amount of CSS to your site until you need or not needed.

One thing to add to Mike's good suggestion. When you remove your CSS, don't hit DONE/PUBLISH NOW. Instead use the PREVIEW option to check things out, add pieces back, etc. You can then get back to the original situation by choosing EXIT/DONE/DON'T SAVE. Do have the backup, though. It's way too easy to hit SAVE when you don't mean to (said he who has done so).
I actually start with a copy of my CSS on my hard drive. I then copy/paste that to my SmugMug. This way I can always go back to my hard drive version if something goes wrong.

Doesn't "hide owner" also disable all added CSS?
