The information about this hybrid is scarce.

"It originates from Brazil and is found mainly high up on the coastal mountains of Eastern Brazil where the air is moist. They grow in cracks of trees and where leaves have fallen to create a rich mulch for them to root in."

It seems to have been used for further hybridization, but the hybrids produced seem to be more like other [i]Schlumbergera [/i]hybrids.

At first I thought it was rather untidy and unattractive. But a close look shows an inrolled rim to the petals. The ppale, opening flower is very delicate.

Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, f8 or f9, hand-held.The stereos are crosseye.
