Coding Glitch?

Hi,
Updating my website and I've been noticing this lately: The letter X when typed in the HTML box, comes up as a quote, ", but is an X in the text. Also, the Y does not show up at all, but shows up in text. See picture.
Is this just a glitch with Smug or something else? Only happens on Smug when updating stuff.
Most recent version of Chrome on my Macbook Pro with latest version of Mojave.

Are you copy/pasting the code to your HTML Block from a Word Document or similar by chance?
I just typed
<p>Executive</p>into a HTML Block with no issues.Images in the Backcountry
