We have some large (I can just lift them) Weeping Willow logs slowly rotting in our garden. We have arranged them so that we can plant e.g. some ferns between them.
Some had straight edges (from splitting) facing outwards. When I turned this one around to present a curved surface, I found this extensive colony of crust fungus. The bark-covered surface was 40cm across.
Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro,1/25 at f9 and f10, hand-held.
The stereos are crosseye.
I have reduced the highlights considerably.
