Washington DC
On the way home from New York, we spent a weekend in Washington, DC. Spent a day at the National Air & Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center then went into the District for some night photography.
1 - Washington Monument, Capitol, and Reflecting Pool
2 - Visiting Mr. Lincoln
3 - At the Vietnam Veterans Memorial
4 - The National Christmas Tree at the White House
5 - Capitol - I played with the built-in HDR function on the Canon 5D3. I'm not sure I love it, but I'm not sure I don't.
6 - When we were at Udvar-Hazy, I learned that the main NASM facility on the Mall was undergoing renovations, both inside and out. I needed to stop by to add it to my collection of photos of "stuff in scaffolding around Washington".
I say that because in the past, I've gotten photos of the Washington Monument while it was undergoing repairs after the 2011 earthquake, the Capitol while the dome was undergoing restoration, and the Iwo Jima Memorial while it was being cleaned and restored.
