Can't save gallery changes: Why do I have a red exclamation point next to photo protection?

I am trying to save settings for a gallery. I selected right-click protection, although I don't have a copyright notice set yet. Now, whenever I leave the Photo Protection button, a red exclamation point appears there, and clicking the Save button does nothing. I do not get an error message. What can the problem be, and why did the designers of SmugMug provide an error indicator without an explanation of what the error is?

Do you have a Basic account? Right click protection requires at least a Power account. If that's not it, I haven't a clue. Maybe ask the help desk?
