Is it possible to have a picture of my choice as cover image in the mobile device view. It seems that this picture is selected at random in the mobile device view.

Hi - yes - under your gallery settings - "basic" tab - you have the ability to set the featured image - jerryr

I described my problem incorrectly: Here is a screenshot of my iMac and a screenshot of the same gallery on my Iphone. How can I determine the large top cover photo on my mobile phone view.

Login to your site and then choose Organizer -> in the left menu chose the gallery that you want to adjust -> choose Settings and in the Basics Tab set the Feature Image (second entry from below in the screenshot) to a photo of your desire. (@jerryr I know that's what you meant )
