There are two British species of Rhingia. This completes the set for me, being my first confirmed sighting.
The images are not a good as I would like but they show what the insect looks like. (Even ISO 1600 wasn't quite enough).
The fly did a lot of preening movements with its front legs and I didn't get a fully matching pair of images for the stereo.I have done digital amputation in one images to get a sort of functional 3D.
The stereo is crosseye.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 x2 TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, f8 & f10, hand-held.
