This individual had fallen into the water in an open-topped garden tank. It was stuck in the surface film and quite helpless. I picked it out and placed it on the leaves of a Buddleia bush to dry out.
I took these images about an hour later, when the insect was dry. Soon after that it was gone.
Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, f11, f9 & f8 ISO 250, hand-held.
The stereos are crosseye.
