How to edit the theme and move the menu bar

Hi, currently my menu bar is fixed to the left of the screen, I would like to change it so that it is on the top and stuck there. How would this be done.

Either switch to a theme that has a menu on the top or in the Customizer got to 'Entire Site > Layout'. Uncheck the sidebar. If you uncheck the sidebar, you might want to move your menu to the header section first before you remove the sidebar.
