I thought this was an Andrena but it seems more likely to be L. calceatum. There are lots of similar, tiny bees.
This was in my garden yesterday. It stayed only long enough for me to shoot these two frames. (My first ones uploaded from my replacement lens).
The species is said to be common but I have not knowingly seen it before in 20 years of macro in my garden.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 x2 TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, 1/250 f11 ISO 400, sunlight, hand-held.
