Text Editor Line Spacing Height After Return Key (soft return?)

Is there a way to adjust the spacing between lines with a return when using a text editor?
I believe it used to be called a soft return?
On my page below I would like the spacing between the By Date Location to be less, I am using a single text block and there is a single return at the end of each line. The font size is normal.

Thank you for the help

A soft return works on SMugMug - 'Shift+Return'.
I personally prefer the flexibility of using HTML/CSS blocks instead of Text Blocks.

Thank you Mike, before i jump into creating an HTML block I wanted to make sure I understood the text editor and the returns. I created a test page with 3 paragraphs, between 1 & 2 is a soft return and 2 & 3 is a hard return, I do not see any difference and when I view the page source the HTML looks the same between both paragraphs, Soft Return Here
. Hard Return Here

Let me know if you have any thoughts here is the link to the test page.

Thanks Brad
Using a Text Block I typed 'word with soft-return' with a soft-return and got another line. I typed in 'word with hard-return' and got a new paragraph (as it should) and typed "hello".

OK thank you, I copied over some css from my original smugmug site and it must have some code that is causing my issue, I commented it out and it works like your example.
Thank you
Brad
Sorry, Mike, I am back, I thought that solved my issue but it did not. I have deleted all my CSS, Themes > Advanced and also under the content first section CSS, there is no CSS. I am still seeing the same issue, any thoughts where I should look? I am using the Max template if that would make any difference.
You must be doing something wrong.

UPDATE
Apple has changed the keys for a soft return in Safari
Control+Return will give you a soft return
In Google Chrome it is still Sift+Enter
