fraid thats it, that's the adult- they are tiny bugs in this case about 1.8mm long. Its a globular springtail. Apparently during the mating season they run around head butting each other (I kid you not)- have yet to see this. They live basically in damp places and once you get used to spotting them you find them everywhere.

    Great Stuff Again Brian!!!
I'm chomping at the bit to get my Sigy 105!! UGGGG

You use the reversed 50mm on these?headscratch.gif

I'm curious as to how the Canon 250D Close Up is gonna work on the 105?

Guess I'm gonna be the tester for this as I can't seem to find anyone who has tried it. ne_nau.gif

Some more great shots!thumb.gifthumb.gif I hope to do as good?

    Thanks GF,
No, no reverse lens- just using my ext rings and in the case of the Springtail a lot of cropping.
Fraid I have only used an old crappy close up lens on my 105mm and that certainly was not very good- lots of CA. Think as you say , you will have to try it. I have tried a 1.4XTC and that is good but not as good as just using ext rings.
Have fun when you get the lens- htere's lots of thing to photograph other than bugs with it :)
