Woundwort Shield-Bug Eysacoris venustissimus
I first found this, the smallest of the British Shield-bugs, in 2017, as a small colony on mint. The accepted name then was Eyasarcoris fabricii.
This lone individual was climbing on wild grass in my garden on 14 & 18 May.
They are easily disturbed into movement, a constant walking and moving to the far side of the leaf.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 x2 TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, f8, f11 & f11, hand-held.
