These were flying at a local pond yesterday. Males and females look similar. I think these are males.

Downy Emerald dragonflies [i]Cordulia aenea were also flying but I never saw one settle, so I have no images of them. They come close and watch you through their bright green eyes.

Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Panasonic 100 - 400mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar at 400mm at f10, sixth one f11, sunlight, hand-held.

The stereos are crosseye.
