@black mamba - Your shots keep inspiring me:
Well, Jo, I'm honored to have inspired you. Your shot here is far superior to mine. First of all, you were obviously in control of the situation.....I was flopping in the water, wondering what happened. In a more technical sense, there are solid reasons why I like your image so much; your shutter speed and its effect ( purely subjective.....the water-flow treatment is as good as I've seen ) , you included enough of the area there to add nice context to the image, your composition is very good. All adds up to a dynamic image.
@black mamba = you are too kind! And have given me an image of you flopping in the water with filled boots that probably won't go away soon. Thanks!!
This is great Jo! Water motion is fantastic! Also the contrast is wonderful!
@Stumblebum - Thanks Taz. It was one of the wonderful wet winters that we used to have in Yosemite! the Merced was wild that year.
Really fine shot. I love this kind of scene. I agree that the blur in the water may be optimum.
@Cornflake - Thanks for the kind words, Don. Yosemite has so many opportunities for shots of any kind! I can't wait for the re-opening to all eventually
